"How much does Uzum take from each sale?" It's the first thing every seller asks. The short answer is 1% to 35%, depending on the product category. Most categories pay 20–25%. And the commission is the same whether you sell through FBO, FBS or DBS.

But "about 20%" is a poor basis for buying stock: being a few points off can wipe out your whole profit. Below is where to find the exact rate for your category, and how to work out in five minutes what you keep from every sale.

What you pay on Uzum

On every sale Uzum keeps a commission. Its size depends on the product's final category: not the big section, but the narrowest subcategory. Uzum's tariff lists 5,170 categories, each with its own rate.

On top of the commission there's logistics. It's charged by the parcel's volume in litres, not by weight: the first litre costs 5,250 so'm and each extra litre adds 250 so'm, up to 50,000 so'm. If you don't enter dimensions, you're charged the maximum.

If you keep stock in Uzum's warehouse (FBO), there's also storage. The first 60 days are free; after that it starts at 12 so'm per litre per day. Storage is paid for goods sitting in the warehouse, not per sale, so it's counted separately.

Everything else (purchase price, packaging, ads, returns and tax) depends only on you.

Uzum commission by category

Here are the ranges for all 21 Uzum sections. In brackets is the rate you'll meet most often in that section. The data comes from Uzum's published tariff, version of 8 September 2026.

  • Clothing: 10–25% (most often 25%)

  • Footwear: 20–30% (20%)

  • Accessories: 9–30% (30%)

  • Beauty and care: 8–28% (19.5%)

  • Health: 10–35% (19%)

  • Kids: 8–30% (18%)

  • Home goods: 15–30% (25%)

  • Furniture: 10–20% (15%)

  • Home appliances: 7–30% (17%)

  • Electronics: 3–30% (20%)

  • Construction and renovation: 5–30% (22%)

  • Auto: 2–30% (25%)

  • Garden and outdoor: 1–30% (20%)

  • Sport and outdoor: 7–27% (25%)

  • Camping, fishing and hunting: 12–25% (22%)

  • Hobbies and crafts: 11.5–25% (22%)

  • Stationery: 5–20% (11%)

  • Books: 10–22% (20%)

  • Groceries: 4–22% (14%)

  • Pet supplies: 9–30% (17.5%)

  • Household cleaning: 11–20.5% (18.5%)

Notice how wide the ranges are inside a section. In Electronics the rate runs from 3% to 30%. So you can't plan with a section's rate; you need the rate of your exact subcategory.

A few popular examples:

  • Apple iPhone smartphones: 3%

  • Android smartphones: 7%

  • Lipsticks: 17%

  • Day creams: 18.5%

  • Women's trainers: 20%

  • Girls' indoor footwear: 20%

  • Bedding sets: 22%

  • Women's T-shirts: 25%

The highest rate, 35%, is on orthopaedic insoles. The lowest, 1%, is on manual lawnmowers.

How to find the exact rate and calculate profit

The easiest way is the Uzumer calculator. It holds all 5,170 rates from Uzum's tariff: pick a category and it fills in the right percentage. The calculator works once you sign in. Sign-up is free and comes with a 7-day trial.

Let's take an example: women's trainers selling for 300,000 so'm.

Step 1. Open the calculator

Until you choose a category, «Uzum commission (%)» shows 15% with a yellow warning underneath. That's only a placeholder, not Uzum's rate, so don't calculate with it.

The calculator before a category is chosen
Until you pick a category it shows a placeholder 15%, not Uzum's rate.

Step 2. Choose your category

Pick the category level by level, all the way down: «Footwear» → «Women's footwear» → «Trainers». As soon as you reach the final category, an «Official rate» label appears. For women's trainers it's 20%.

The official rate for trainers
Category chosen to the end, and the calculator fills in the official 20%.

Step 3. Enter the sale price

Put your selling price into «Sale price». Ours is 300,000 so'm.

Sale price of 300,000 so'm
Sale price: 300,000 so'm.

Step 4. Fulfilment scheme and dimensions

Choose a scheme. Trainers can be sold through all three (FBO, FBS and DBS), and the commission is 20% on each. Then enter the packed «Parcel dimensions». A 300 × 200 × 100 mm box is 6 litres, so logistics comes to 6,500 so'm.

Dimensions and logistics
A 300×200×100 mm box is 6 litres, so logistics is 6,500 so'm.

Step 5. Your own costs

Enter the «Purchase price» (120,000 so'm here), «Packaging (per unit)» (4,000 so'm) and ad spend per sale (8,000 so'm). We left returns at 5% and tax at 4%. These are example numbers, so use your own.

Purchase price and packaging
Purchase 120,000 so'm, packaging 4,000 so'm.

Step 6. Read the result

On the right is «Net profit»: 74,500 so'm per pair, a 24.8% margin. A batch of 100 pairs makes about 7.45 million so'm.

Net profit per unit
Result: 74,500 so'm net per pair, a 24.8% margin.

Where the 74,500 comes from: take 300,000 and subtract the 60,000 commission, the 120,000 purchase, 4,000 packaging, 6,500 logistics, 8,000 ads, 15,000 lost to returns and 12,000 tax.

Step 7. Check storage

On FBO there's a «Storage» block below. In our example it's 72 so'm per pair per day, and new stock is stored free for the first 60 days. This isn't part of the profit per sale, because it depends on how long the goods sit in the warehouse.

Storage in Uzum's warehouse
FBO storage: 72 so'm a day, first 60 days free.

Common mistakes

  • Using the section's rate instead of the subcategory's. Rates within one section can differ tenfold.

  • Thinking FBS has a lower commission. The commission doesn't depend on the scheme; only logistics and storage differ.

  • Leaving out dimensions. Without them, logistics is charged at the 50,000 so'm maximum.

  • Spreading storage over a single sale. Storage depends on how fast the product sells, so count it separately.

  • Ignoring returns and tax. In the example above they cost 27,000 so'm per pair.

Questions and answers

What is Uzum's commission?

From 1% to 35% depending on the category; most often 20–25%. You can find your category's exact rate in Uzum's tariff or in the Uzumer calculator.

Is the commission different for FBO and FBS?

No. For a given category the percentage is the same on FBO, FBS and DBS; only logistics and storage differ. Out of 5,170 categories we found a single exception: watch straps and clasps under men's accessories.

How do I calculate profit on Uzum?

From the sale price, subtract the category commission, purchase price, packaging, logistics, ads, losses on returns and tax. The Uzumer calculator does it for you.

Where can I see the current tariffs?

Uzum publishes its seller tariffs as an open spreadsheet. The Uzumer calculator uses that published tariff (our copy is the 8 September 2026 version). Uzum does change its tariffs, so check the rate in your Uzum Seller account before a big purchase.

Is storage part of the commission?

No. Storage is a separate fee for FBO only, and the first 60 days are free.
